The HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health presents:
Syringe Service Programs: The Essential Roles of
Non-Governmental and Community-Based Organizations

This webinar will feature perspectives from national and local community-focused organizations that support syringe services programs (SSPs). This is the final webinar in a three-part series focused on SSPs, an important community-based prevention program that can save lives, combat the nation’s opioid crisis, reduce the transmission of HIV and Hepatitis C and support individuals in accessing substance (SUD)/opioid (OUD) use disorder treatment services. Presenters will:
Speakers: Daniel Raymond, Deputy Director of Planning and Policy, Harm Reduction Coalition; Chuck Wexler, Executive Director, Police Executive Research Forum; and Grace Keller, Program Coordinator, Howard Center Safe Recovery
Intended Participants: state/local public health, law enforcement, corrections, harm reduction organizations, state/local elected officials, SUD/OUD programs, faith-based organizations, federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), healthcare providers, and other relevant organizations.
