This 48-page report is the World Health Organization (WHO)'s third annual review of the clinical antibacterial pipeline to analyze how the pipeline responds to the WHO priority pathogens list. It covers direct-acting small molecules and biological agents that are in development worldwide, and assesses to what extent the pipeline addresses the WHO priority pathogens, Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Clostridioides difficile, and to what extent the antibacterial agents are innovative. It is part of WHO efforts in global research and development priority-setting to contain antimicrobial resistance. (PDF)
