Purpose
We recently announced our plans to update our grant application form packages for use with due dates on or after May 25, 2020 (FORMS-F; NOT-OD-20-026).
For due dates on or before May 24, 2020, applicants must continue to use the application form packages and instructions (FORMS-E) posted with our funding opportunity announcements despite the expiration dates noted on each form. These forms are extended for use through March 2020.
NIH and AHRQ grant application form packages include federal-wide forms (typically labeled Research & Related or R&R) and agency-specific forms (typically labeled PHS). FORMS-E forms will expire prior to the availability of FORMS-F application packages; therefore, NIH seeks through this Notice to extend the current forms to support our applicant/recipient community until FORMS-F is approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).
Grants.gov is working with OMB to renew the federal-wide (R&R) forms which impact NIH and AHRQ.
NIH is working with OMB to renew the agency-specific (PHS) forms and associated format pages (e.g, biosketch, training data tables) and expect OMB approval prior to the March 2020 expiration.
Once the FORMS-F application form packages are in place, the updated expiration dates will be displayed on the forms posted with FORMS-F application form packages and will be noted through a new Guide Notice alerting our applicant/recipient community.
