The social media landscape continues to evolve at an amazing pace. Today we highlight current opportunities to stay abreast of these changes.
Virtual Office Hours
AIDS.gov’s Virtual Office Hours provides free social media technical assistance for the HIV community. Appointments are available for individuals or groups who want to learn how to best use social media for their HIV programs. Book your free, 45-minute appointment .
In Person
As we have done in the past at large conferences ranging from the APHA annual meeting to the US Conference on AIDS (USCA), next week we are providing social media technical assistance at HealthHIV’s SYNChronicity Conference (SYNC). The conference is bringing together the HIV community – clinicians, service providers, government, community leaders, and others – to advance HIV, HCV and LGBT health education and training.”
Conference organizers see social media as a key part of health care communication. As a result, SYNC will offer a social media technical assistance lab with AIDS.gov’s team members. Brian Hudjich, Executive Director, HealthHIV told us: “SYNCing AIDS.gov’s social media with SYNC 2017 conference content will help advance HIV prevention efforts in productive and successful ways.”
The lab at SYNC is an opportunity for conference attendees to ask any question about social media use. Experts from AIDS.gov and other partners will be on hand to answer your social media questions, whether it’s how to use new media to extend the reach of your program or how to get started or whatever is on your mind!
When: Monday, April 24 from 10:45 am – 12:15 p.m., 2:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday April 25 from 10:45 am -12:15 p.m.
How: Conference attendees can just drop in – or schedule an appointment .
Again, if you have a social media question, but won’t be attending SYNC, you can sign up for Virtual Office Hours for an appointment that works for you.
