Efficacy of educational video game versus traditional educational apps at improving physician decision making in trauma triage: randomized controlled trial.

This randomized controlled trial compared the performance of an educational video game to traditional didactic education via an electronic application for teaching emergency departmentphysicians appropriate triage of trauma patients. Following completion of either the game or traditional education, participants completed several case simulations. Those who completed the game performed better than those receiving traditional education on the simulations, and the effect persisted in a subsample retested 6 months later.
