ASTHO Profile of State and Territorial Public Health
The Association of State and Territorial Health Officials (ASTHO) has released its latest comprehensive look at state and territorial health agencies. The ASTHO Profile of State and Territorial Public Health, Volume Four (or Profile) examines funding levels, agency priorities, and the governmental public health workforce.
The Profile reveals important trends, challenges, and developments across public health agencies in US states, territories, and freely associated states, including—
- Decreasing public health workforce
- Prioritization of chronic disease
- Increased resource sharing
ASTHO also released a Top Findings report summarizing the most significant, timely, and relevant findings from the Profile.
