Realist synthesis of intentional rounding in hospital wards: exploring the evidence of what works, for whom, in what circumstances and why.

Prior research has shown that frequent rounding by nurses may help to reduce harm and enhance patient satisfaction. In England, there have been widespread efforts to implement standardized rounding by nurses to improve safety. In this study, researchers found limited evidence to support this approach.
