Tuesday, June 5, 2018
Join us at the Securities and Exchange Commission building in Washington D.C. for a day of updates and discussion on the future of elder justice.
The morning of June 5, the Elder Justice Coordinating Council will host its spring meeting. Established in 2010 by the Elder Justice Act, the EJCC coordinates activities related to elder abuse, neglect, and exploitation across the federal government.
The event will continue in the afternoon, with the 4th annual Global Summit on Elder Justice convened by the National Adult Protective Services Association, the International Network for the Prevention of Elder Abuse, and the National Center for Victims of Crime.
The entire day's programming will be streamed live, stayed tuned for details on how you can watch online.
The event is taking place just ten days before World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, when communities around the world will join together to promote a better understanding of elder abuse and neglect as well as the need to build strong supports for elders.
