Source: Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR). Published: 5/2019. This 49-page working paper summarizes the key results and lessons learned in disaster risk reduction in health during this nine-year Health and Emergency and Disaster Risk Management (EDRM) program in China. Many of its reported impacts, knowledge increases, and behavior changes were found to be statistically significant in the immediate post-disaster intervention in terms of proper hand-washing technique, anti-indoor smoking, non-communicable diseases, waste management, oral rehydration solution (ORS) preparation, and disaster bag preparedness. It is part of a Working Paper Series on disaster risk research. (PDF)
