Association between atopic dermatitis and extracutaneous infections in US adults.

Abstract

The present study demonstrates that adults with atopic dermatitis have significantly higher rates of multiple etiologies of extra-cutaneous infections, including influenza, pneumonia, strep throat, head or chest colds, sinus infections gastroenteritis and chickenpox.
