International Meeting on Emerging Diseases and Surveillance |
Vienna, Austria, November 4-7, 2016 |
Dear Colleague,
IMED 2016 has opened a window for late-breaker abstracts. If you have an abstract that contains data unavailable prior to July 1, the original abstract submission deadline, you may submit it for consideration as a late-breaker abstract. All late-breaker abstracts must be submitted online between September 15 and September 22.
Late-breaker abstracts are highly competitive; only abstracts containing new, cutting-edge information will be considered. Retrospective studies will not be considered.
We also want to let you know that all IMED 2016 abstracts will be published as a special supplement to the International Journal of Infectious Diseases.
An EpiCore Information Session will be held November 4, 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. EpiCore is an innovative surveillance program that draws on the knowledge of a global community of human, animal and environmental health professionals to verify information on disease outbreaks and connects them through a secure web-based platform. The information session will provide an overview of innovative surveillance as well as a technical EpiCore training. All qualified participants will be pre-approved as EpiCore members. Pre-registration for the EpiCore session will begin in early September. Full Program details for IMED 2016 are now updated on the web. You can contact info@isid.org if you have any questions about IMED 2016. I look forward to seeing you in Vienna!
Regards,
Britta LassmannISID Program Director Co-Chair Scientific Program Committee |
