Call for papers: Open data for discovery science

BMC Medical Informatics and Decision Making is delighted to announce the launch of a new thematic series, ‘Open data for discovery science’. Given the ever increasing availability and complexity of open data in the biological, clinical and population level domains that can be used to inform both research and decision-making, it is critical to build a body of methodological and applied knowledge that can ensure reproducible and rigorous approaches to such activities. This series aims to bring together research from leaders in the field into advances in the use of open data.
