Home Oxygen Therapy – Provider
Documentation Manual
Thursday, May 10, 2018
2:00 pm-3:00 pm Eastern Time
Conference Call Only
The Center for Program Integrity (CPI) will host a Special Open Door Forum (ODF) to introduce physicians, practitioners, suppliers and all other interested parties to the first DRAFT chapter of our new Provider Documentation Manual. To reduce administrative provider burden, CMS is creating a new internet-only manual. We are listing all the documentation that’s required for Medicare payment in one central location – the Provider Documentation Manual. The first DRAFT section in this new manual is Home Oxygen Therapy. Each section will be on a specific item or service.
CPI will post the manual section along with checklists for physicians/practitioners and suppliers to our website. CPI hopes physicians/practitioners and suppliers can use these resources to ensure all relevant information required to support Medicare coverage of home oxygen is in their documentation.
ODF participants can provide feedback and ask questions about the Provider Documentation Manual section on Home Oxygen Therapy.
