For 2018,11 European Union/European Economic Area Member States reported 1,605 West Nile virus infections, of which 1,548 (96 percent) were locally acquired. For 2018, 27 countries reported 2,191 cases of dengue, of which 2,033 (92.8 percent) were confirmed. Fourteen autochthonous dengue cases were reported from continental Europe by France and Spain.
