Sustained improvement in neonatal intensive care unit safety attitudes after teamwork training.
A neonatal intensive care unit at a children's hospital implemented a teamwork trainingprogram (the MedTeams program) for all clinical and nonclinical staff. The program resulted in a sustained improvement in most dimensions of safety culture one year after the training, as measured by the AHRQ Hospital Survey on Patient Safety Culture.
