Quality of Trauma in Adult Care (QTAC) Team, University of Calgary

• Adult trauma care: number of injury associated ED visits, hospital admissions and deaths per 100,000 population.

• Adult trauma care: percentage of patients age 18 years and older admitted to hospital or the ED with a primary diagnosis of injury and screened for chemical dependency using a validated tool.

• Adult trauma care: percentage of patients age 18 years and older admitted to hospital with an injury diagnosis and documented to have an assessment for disability and a decision to prescribe or not prescribe post-acute care therapy.

• Adult trauma care: percentage of patients age 18 years and older diagnosed with a head injury, spine injury, intra-abdominal injury or long bone fracture and a non-elective injury related hospital visit within 7 days of hospital discharge.
