Errors in diagnosis of spinal epidural abscesses in the era of electronic health records.

Diagnostic error is increasingly recognized as a major source of patient harm. In this retrospective study, researchers analyzed the medical records of patients diagnosed with spinal epidural abscess and found that a delay in diagnosis occurred frequently.
