National Steering Committee for Patient Safety
AHRQ is co-leading the National Steering Committee for Patient Safety, which includes members from two dozen organizations that are joining together to create a national action plan to accelerate progress in reducing patient harm. Committee members represent health care, policy, regulatory, and advocacy communities.
The National Steering Committee for Patient Safety is co-chaired by Jeffrey Brady, M.D., director of AHRQ’s Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety, and Tejal Gandhi, M.D., who is chief clinical and safety officer at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
