Submissions for our three grant funding opportunities (FOA) applications – which will help expand interoperability & workforce training – are due in a little over three weeks, Monday, April 6th at 11:59pm EDT. Health IT Fellows

Bios for the incoming Health IT Fellows class are now available on healthit.gov! The Health IT Fellows are a vital component to connect like-minded practices, share lessons learned from the practice field to further enhance Health IT adoption, and act as champions and advocates. They serve as Subject Matter Experts by lending their voices and experiences to ways providers can leverage Health IT to improve consumer engagement and experience in the delivery of patient care; making Meaningful Use meaningful.

HITECH Implementation Summary

We posted a summary that synthesizes in one place selected statistics and activity reports relating to the implementation of the HITECH Act earlier this week. The summary reflects information on Meaningful Use Stage 1 and Meaningful Use Stage 2 incentive payments, development of Meaningful Use Stage 3 requirements and the availability of certified products in the vendor market, HIE, workforce programs, patient engagement, health IT and delivery system reform, the effectiveness of health IT, and other topics. This summary is from October to December 2014.

Federal Advisory Committee Schedule Week of March 16 (all times EDT)

MondayStarting at 10:00am, the Health IT Standards Committee's (#HITSC) Semantics Standards Workgroup meets. Check back for the full agenda and meeting materials, which should be posted prior to the meeting.

Then, at 2pm, the Health IT Policy Committee's (#HITPC) Privacy & Security Workgroupconvenes a virtual meeting. The workgroup will post its agenda closer to the meeting time. 


Wednesday At 9:30am, the #HITSC meets in Washington, DC. The committee will post its agenda prior to the meeting, so check back.
Thursday The #HITPC HIT Implementation, Usability & Safety Workgroup meets at 9am and intends to post the agenda and meeting materials prior to the meeting.

The #HITPC Interoperability and HIE Workgroup meets at 3:30pm. Watch for the agenda and meeting materials to be posted on the webpage, where you can also find the dial-in information.
FridayTune in at 2pm on Friday for the #HITPC Advanced Health Models and Meaningful Use Workgroup. The details of the meeting, including the agenda, will be posted closer to the start time.
