SAMHSA is accepting applications for up to $31.5 million for Minority Serving Institutions Partnerships with Community-Based Organizations (SP-15-004)

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is accepting applications for fiscal year 2015 Minority Serving Institutions (MSIs) Partnerships with Community-Based Organizations (CBOs) grants. The purpose of this program is to prevent and reduce substance abuse and transmission of HIV/AIDS among at-risk populations, including traditionally underserved populations.
SAMHSA expects that 35 grantees will be awarded up to $300,000 per year for up to three years. The actual award amounts may vary, depending on the availability of funds.
WHO CAN APPLY: Eligible applicants are Minority Serving Institutions (i.e., Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander Serving Institutions (AANAPISIs) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs)) who are able to partner with CBOs.
