Now Available - Four New Lung Cancer Screening Decision Aids for Health Care Professionals and Patients
New tools from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality can help patients between the ages of 55-80, who have smoked for many years, make informed decisions with their health care professionals whether to get screened for lung cancer with low-dose computed tomography (LDCT). The tools will help patients prepare to talk with their health care professionals about whether lung cancer screening is appropriate as well as the possible benefits and harms of screening using this method. Low-dose computed tomography is the only recommended screening test for lung cancer.
