Prevalence and patterns of potentially avoidable hospitalizations in the US long-term care setting.



    Safety problems are common in nursing homes. This retrospective secondary data analysis found that many hospitalizations from long-term care facilities were potentially avoidable. Despite substantial research in this area, these findings highlight the need for effective interventions in clinical practice.
