CDC’s Office for State, Tribal, Local and Territorial Support is pleased to announce the release of Advancing Public Health: The Story of the National Public Health Improvement Initiative [PDF-12MB]. This compendium describes the success and outcomes of the National Public Health Improvement Initiative (NPHII). This unique and ground-breaking initiative was an unprecedented opportunity for CDC to support state, tribal, local, and territorial public health departments in building their capacity to deliver efficient and effective programs and services.
