Clinical outcomes associated with medication regimen complexity in older people: a systematic review.

Older adults are at increased risk for adverse drug events, especially those who take high-risk medications. This systematic review found moderate evidence to suggest that medication regimen complexity in older adults is associated with nonadherence and higher rates of hospitalization.
