Increasing patient–clinician concordance about medical error disclosure through the patient TIPS model.

Including members of a patient and family advisory council in error disclosure training for physicians resulted in increased agreement between clinicians and patients regarding important aspects of the disclosure process. This study highlights a novel method of patient engagement in safety efforts.
