CDC’s National Report on Exposure to Environmental Chemicals: Updated Tables August 2014

CDC’s National Report on Exposure to Environmental Chemicals: Updated Tables August 2014

The Updated Tables, August 2014 provides nationally-representative biomonitoring data from CDC’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) that has become available since the publication of the Fourth Report in 2009. The Updated Tables, August 2014 is being released because of errors in NHANES sampling weights that were recently discovered by the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) in selected data files for NHANES 2011-2012.
The Updated Tables, July 2014, were withdrawn August 8, 2014 after NHANES discovered and alerted us to an error in sampling weights in selected data files for NHANES 2011-2012. This was in addition to a previous NHANES issue involving sample weights for the chemicals measured in pooled samples for survey years 2005-2006 and 2007-2008.
All individual and pooled data tables impacted by sampling weight errors have been removed from this release. When corrected files are available from NHANES, we will recalculate summary data and add those tables to a future update. For additional details, see the Introduction section of the Updated Tables, August 2014.
The Updated Tables, August 2014 and additional resources are now available on CDC’s National Exposure Report webpage.
