Medicaid.gov

Today the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released two informational bulletins related to CMS’ efforts to improve communication, coordination, and efficiency.  The first, “Establishing “SOTA 2.0” as a Coordinated Point of Contact for States” describes how a coordinated point of contact is being created for states within the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS).
The second bulletin, “Implementation of a ‘Fast Track’ Federal Review Process for Section 1115 Medicaid and CHIP Demonstration Extensions” describes how CMCS is establishing a new “fast track” process for reviewing proposals from states to extend established Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) 1115 demonstrations that reauthorize longstanding policies with proven program outcomes.
The informational bulletins are available on Medicaid.gov at http://www.medicaid.gov/Federal-Policy-Guidance/Federal-Policy-Guidance.html
