Users often bypass alerts meant to enhance safety of medication ordering and dispensingtechnologies. This article analyzes reports submitted to the 

Pennsylvania Patient Safety Authority to determine the types of technologies 

and medications frequently associated withoverrides and recommends strategies 

to reduce risk of alarm fatigue.
