Clinicians Confer on Strategies to Prepare and Complete Health Assessment MOC IV and PI-CME (for PAs)
AHRQ is presenting two webinars that will enable clinicians to confer with one another as they complete the Health Assessment Quality Improvement Project. These webinars are designed to complement each other. Part-one of the webinar series will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2:30-3:30 p.m. ET, and part-two will be held on Monday, May 30, 2:30-3:30 p.m. ET. Both will be archived and available to view after the live session.
Part One - Prepared Clinicians Confer on Strategies to Complete Health Assessments MOC IV and CME (for PAs):  Live Free Webinar – Thursday, April 28, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. ET
Before the April 28th Webinar:  Clinicians should have conducted initial steps for the module (takes 60-90 minutes): 
  • Download the Health Assessments Users’ Guide and Interactive PDF Module or Select here
  • Enter personal information to your system
  • Complete pre- and post-assessment of health assessment knowledge
  • Review Baseline Performance Data Collection, Section 4, pages 1-14 of the interactive module.  The discussion on April 28th, will focus on the clinicians discussing their strategies for the following steps:
    • Target population
    • Selection of  three health assessment topics (and performance indicators)
    • Assessment of practice priorities
    • Review patient sampling criteria
    • Discuss your use of data collection forms, paper or electronic
Part Two - Clinicians Confer on Findings after Completing Health Assessments MOC IV and PI-CME (for PAs): Live Free Webinar – Monday, May 30, 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. ET
Before the May 30th Webinar:  Clinicians should have completed all steps required for Part I webinar noted above, as well as having completed baseline and follow up data collection (requiring at least a two-week interval in between baseline and follow up observations.)
This clinician-led, Web-based meeting (which will be offered live, and subsequently, as a recording), offers diversified clinicians an opportunity to discuss their findings and plans for sustaining this Quality Improvement effort.
AHRQ’s new practice improvement tools help physicians, physician assistants and nurse practitioners obtain certification in their fields, including the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Part IV, the physician assistant performance improvement-continuing medical education credits, and continuing education credits. The Health Assessment Recertification Project for Diversely Trained Clinicians (MOC Part IV & PA-QI) streamlines the MOC documentation process while offering user-friendly printable data collection forms and electronic entry options to help clinicians efficiently complete and submit data collection requirements.
