Controlled interventions to reduce burnout in physicians: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
Burnout among physicians is common. One survey study found that more than half of physicians reported at least one or more symptoms of burnout. This systematic review and meta-analysis found that although interventions designed to mitigate burnout among physicians seem to yield small benefits, the impact was greater when interventions were directed at the organizational level.
