SAVE THE DATE – 2017 ONC Annual MeetingMark your calendar! The 2017 ONC Annual Meeting will be held November 30 – December 1, 2017 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC. More information on the meeting will be coming this Spring. 
ONC at HIMSS17ONC is looking forward to seeing its stakeholders at HIMSS 17. More Hospitals Report Public Health Data Electronically in 2015Updated ONC stats show that more hospitals are able to report public health data, like immunizations, laboratory results, and syndromic surveillance, electronically to local public health agencies. In 2015, 93%, 88%, and 76% hospitals electronically reported these respective public health data to agencies. 
State Rates of 2015 Physician EHR Adoption and Interoperability Now AvailableThe Health IT Data Summaries Web-App is now live with updates to physician EHR adoption, interoperability and patient engagement statistics. The app provides direct access to state level estimates for a variety of different metrics that measure the percent of physicians who have certified EHRs; who are able to send, receive, find and use patient health information; and who provide their patients the ability to view, download and transmit their personal health information. The app is mobile-responsive, so check it out on your phone or tablet. 
Is Sharing Data the Secret to a Healthier City?Data can be a powerful tool for understanding issues, making smarter decisions and improving results, and city leaders play a critical role in fostering a culture of data sharing across organizations and sectors. AcademyHealth, the National Program Office for ONC’s Community Peer Learning Program (CHP), recently wrote a blog post for The National League of Cities blog, “CitiesSpeak.” The post, “The Secret to a Healthier City: Sharing Data,” shares lessons that may be useful to cities in the early stages of multi-sector data sharing.  
Deadline Extended: CDC RFI Seeks Input on Adherence to Clinical Guidelines & Information FlowThe Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) extended the deadline to submit responses for the Clinical Decision Support RFI to January 27, 2017 by 2pm ET. The RFI is available atFedBizOpps.gov (search solicitation # 2017-RFI-CDS-0001).  All submissions must be emailed toLauren Peel.
