Diagnostic errors: impact of an educational intervention on pediatric primary care.
The National Academy of Medicine has emphasized that diagnostic errors lead to substantial morbidity and mortality. This quasi-experimental study showed that after an educational intervention, diagnostic error knowledge increased among pediatric primary care providers and there was a trend toward a reduction in patients returning with the same chief complaint within 14 days.
