The clinical and medicolegal implications of radiology results communication.

Problems with sharing information among clinicians can diminish safety of care. This review looks at how miscommunication between radiologists and ordering physicians has increasingly been associated with malpractice claims. The authors suggest guidelines are needed to address this process weakness and outline practices to support reliability of test result communication.
