2018 FISSEA ConferenceMarch 14-15, 2018Hardening the Human: The Power of Cybersecurity Awareness and Training For 31 years, FISSEA has focused on putting the cyber workforce first – we are innovators of effective cybersecurity awareness and training programs that are critical to building the staff responsible for securing our information systems and maintaining safe cyber environments. You, as part of our cyber workforce, are especially important to addressing emerging threats in our connected world. We live in an ever-growing digital and communications centric world. Being a part of the “Internet of Things” is a way of life, making understanding of risk and mitigation critical to providing effective security. Each one of us is a key contributor to ensuring the security of our digital economy and preventing damage from malicious or unintentional attacks. The FISSEA conference brings together visionaries, experts, and novices from industry, academia, and government to discuss and share leading practices on improving Cybersecurity through Awareness and Training. The two-day conference will again be held at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The registration fee is $72 without catering and $120 with am/pm catering breaks. FISSEA Educator of the Year Award – Nominations due March 2, 2018 Every year, FISSEA is honored to present the FISSEA Educator of the Year Award to one of our colleagues. The Educator of the Year Award was established to recognize and honor a contemporary who is making special efforts to create, build, manage, or inspire an information systems security awareness, training, or education program. The FISSEA Educator of the Year Award will be presented during the annual FISSEA Conference. Please take a minute to reflect on these questions:
