Nominations are being accepted for four-year appointments to the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force, an independent group of experts that makes evidence-based recommendations about preventive screenings, counseling services and preventive medications. Nominations must be received by May 15, with an expected start date of January 2019. New members should have experience in public health; the reduction of health disparities; the application of science to health policy; and the communication of findings to health care professionals, policymakers and the general public. This year, AHRQ also prefers experience in areas of pediatrics and behavioral health. Qualified individuals may nominate themselves. Access more information about the nomination process.
