Health Insurance Marketplace
101 Webinar
Tuesday, November 4, 2014 | 3 p.m. Eastern Time
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and SAMHSA invite you to join us for a webinar on the basics of the Health Insurance Marketplace. The webinar will provide an overview of the Affordable Care Act and key features of the Health Insurance Marketplace (Healthcare.gov), such as premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, eligibility requirements, renewal instructions, and special enrollment periods.
In addition, we will discuss how individuals and organizations can help during open enrollment by becoming a Certified Application Counselor (CAC) organization and Champion for Coverage. CACs are volunteers who assist people to enroll in the Health Insurance Marketplace. Champions for Coverage help by educating people in their community about the importance of getting covered and how to enroll.
