HCUP 2015 National Inpatient Sample Released

The Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCUP) announces the release of the following new database: 2015 National Inpatient Sample (NIS).

The files are now split into two parts to accommodate the mix of ICD-9-CM (Quarters 1-3) and ICD-10-CM/PCS (Quarter 4) data. Visit the ICD-10-CM/PCS Resources Page for guidance analyzing the 2015 NRD at www.hcup-us.ahrq.gov/datainnovations/icd10_resources.jsp.

The HCUP databases are available for purchase through the HCUP Central Distributor.  Applications are available at: www.hcup-us.ahrq.gov/tech_assist/centdist.jsp.
