Trends in Opioid-Related Hospitalizations

Select a State for statistics about opioid-related hospital care, including hospitalization trends between 2009-14 and hospitalizations in 2014 broken down by patient age, sex, geographic area and income. Now available at the county level for 32 states include opioid-related hospitalization discharges and rates per 100,000 population. For additional data, access AHRQ statistical briefs as well as Fast Stats, an online tool that provides national and state-specific data on hospital stays and emergency department visits, as well as patient characteristics.
