The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is seeking nominees to serve on the National Vaccine Advisory Committee (NVAC). The advisory committee recommends ways to achieve the optimal prevention of human infectious diseases through vaccine development and provides direction to prevent adverse reactions to vaccines. NVAC members serve a pivotal role by providing peer review, consultation, advice, and recommendations to the Assistant Secretary of Health, who serves as the Director of the National Vaccine Program.
Nominations will be considered for two voting member positions opening in 2018 and may also be considered for future committee vacancies.
Applications must be submitted by 5:00 p.m., EDT on May 4, 2018.
