2010 CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey Database Update

Participation in the CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey component of the CAHPS Database is now open to all health systems, medical groups, practices, and vendors that administer surveys according to CAHPS specifications.

Information regarding data specifications and other submission requirements are available on the CAHPS Website at

C&G Survey Database Submission System Now Open
The online submission system for users of the CAHPS Clinician & Group Survey is now open. The system is available for submission of both the 12-month and Visit versions of the C&G Survey. The system will remain open for submissions through December 15, 2010. All required items must be submitted no later than December 15th. To submit data go to: https://www.cahps.ahrq.gov/CGDSS/ .

Submission Training
The CAHPS Database has made a 15-minute Web training video presenting step-by-step instructions for submission. This session is available for viewing from the CAHPS Website under the News & Events section at https://www.cahps.ahrq.gov. We invite all health systems, medical groups, practices, and vendors that administer surveys according to CAHPS specifications and plan to participate in the CAHPS Clinician & Group Database in 2010 to view the Web training video prior to data submission.

Comparative Results Available in April 2011
Comparative results will be presented on the CAHPS Database online reporting system in April 2011. Similar to the existing reporting system for CAHPS Health Plan Survey results, the C&G reporting system will present overall comparisons by region, patient population (adult and child), and by physician specialty categories (if a sufficient number of survey responses are received). A password-protected portal will enable survey users that submit data to view their own results compared to selected benchmarks.
Thank you for your continued interest and participation in the CAHPS Database. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
