Voice Awards
A SAMHSA report shows 23.1 percent of all admissions reported the abuse of alcohol and one other drug, and 14.1 percent reported the abuse of alcohol and two or more drugs.
The grant will improve health care outcomes by increasing the number of culturally competent mental health and substance abuse counselors available in the public and private nonprofit service sectors.
The grants are being provided under the Garrett Lee Smith Memorial Act, which provides authorization and funding for grants fostering youth suicide prevention efforts.
