A medical director in Maryland explains how his community health care system used AHRQ’s Comprehensive Unit-based Safety Program ( CUSP) to eliminate three dangerous infections -- ventilator-associated pneumonia, central line associate bloodstream infections (CLABSIs), and catheter associated urinary tract infections – for two years.
