Contamination of health care personnel during removal of personal protective equipment.
Use of personal protective equipment is a cornerstone of health care–associated infectionprevention. This simulation study identified significant contamination of health care personnel during removal of personal protective equipment and found that contamination decreased with training. These results emphasize the need for more training in the use of protective equipment and for design of improved equipment to prevent the spread of infections.
