Registration Deadline Approaching: “Proving the Potential” Health Data and Standards Code-A-Thon
Registration closes on Friday, April 21, 2017 for the “Proving the Potential” Health Data and Standards Code-A-Thon. Participants will need to leverage open, publicly accessible internet and health-specific tools to solve interoperability challenges in healthcare. Oh, the Places Data Goes: Health Data Provenance Challenge
Calling all developers! ONC’s latest challenge focuses on health data provenance. The goal of the Oh, the Places Data Goes: Health Data Provenance Challenge is to understand where health data has traveled – beginning with where the data originated and following it as it is modified throughout its lifecycle. A total of $180,000 in prizes will be available in this two-phase challenge. Submissions for phase 1 are due Tuesday, May 16, 2017 by 11:59pm ET. Federal Health Architecture: HIMSS 2017 Learning Series
The Federal Health Architecture (FHA) is hosting the fourth HIMSS17 Learning Series and is highlighting some of the Government Interoperability Showcase demonstrations featured at HIMSS17. This week’s session will cover two different demonstrations:
  • Complexity is the Enemy of Interoperability: Practical Experience in Leveraging FHIR to Quickly Advance Health Data Exchange, VA and DoD
  • National Association for Trusted Exchange’s Blue Button Directory, NATE
