Now Available: AHRQ 2016 Medical Office User Comparative Database Report

AHRQ’s Medical Office Survey on Patient Safety Culture: 2016 User Comparative Database Report is now available and provides results from 25,127 providers and staff in 1,528 U.S. medical offices that administered the survey. Results are compared by characteristics of the participating medical office including the number of providers in each practice, medical specialty represented, ownership of the practice, region where located, and respondent characteristics (position and tenure with the medical office).

• Teamwork had the highest average percent positive response (87%), which measures the culture of teamwork, mutual respect, and close working relationships that exist among staff and providers.
• Work Pressure and Pace had the lowest average percent positive response (50%), which measures whether enough staff and providers are available to handle the office patient load and the pace of work in the office.
