Nearly All Hospitals Using Certified EHRs; ONC 2016 Annual Meeting Day 1

ONC 2016 Annual Meeting

New survey data being released today by ONC shows nearly all of the nation’s hospital have adopted certified electronic health records (EHRs). This represents a nine-fold increase since 2008, according to the annual American Hospital Association (AHA) survey’s Information Technology Supplement. The data also show that there has been an increase in the sharing of health data among hospitals.
Today is the start of the 2016 ONC Annual Meeting: Committed to Better Health through IT at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. The ONC Annual Meeting is a convening of the key health IT stakeholders across the public and private sector. The meeting is an opportunity to discuss our collective work to advance the seamless and secure flow of health information that enhances care, improves health and facilitates science and research.
Registration is available onsite and open all three days of the ONC Annual Meeting. If you can’t make it in person, join today’s live streaming webcast. Also, follow the action on Twitter with #ONC2016. Here’s what’s coming up today:
