AHRQ National Advisory Council To Meet November 9

Press Release Date: November 6, 2012 The National Advisory Council (NAC) for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) will meet on November 9 at AHRQ's offices in Rockville, MD. The council provides advice to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary and the director of the Agency. The council consists of 21 members from the private sector and seven ex-officio members from other federal health agencies. The meeting will begin with a report from the NAC Subcommittee on Children's Health Care Quality Measures, a group established to assist HHS with the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) recommendations. AHRQ Director Dr. Carolyn Clancy will also give a presentation on how AHRQ is leveraging research and science to transform health care.
