APHA Annual Meeting
Come visit our exhibit at the American Public Health Association’s 2016 Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado from October 29th- November 2nd. In addition to our exhibit table, the OMH staff will also participate in the following presentations:
Poster presentation: "Reducing Health Disparities through Tailored Communications: FDA Office of Minority Health's Outreach and Communications Program." This presentation is part of the 2051.0 Social Media and New Media Approaches in Health Communication session on October 30th from 2:30-3:30pm.
Oral presentation: "Increasing Clinical Trial Participation Among Minorities - The Food and Drug Administration's Office of Minority Health's Multi Media Campaign." This presentation is part of the 3058.0: Communicating about Race, Culture, and Community in Advancing Health for All session on October 31st from 8:30am-10:00am.
Roundtable Discussion: "Closing the Health Disparities Gap- the Food and Drug Administration's Office of Minority's Health's Strategies to Improve African-Americans Health." This presentation is part of the 5086.0: Emerging Issues in African American Health session on November 2nd from 10:30am-12:00pm at Table 7.

Risk Communication Advisory Committee
The Office of Minority will also give a presentation during the FDA Risk Communication Advisory Committee public meeting on November 7th. The meeting will be held at the FDA White Oak Campus from 8:30am to 5pm. Topics that are being covered include; an environmental scan of FDA’s external communications, and a presentation of FDA’s Draft Strategic Plan for Risk Communication and Health Literacy.
