Driving Patient Safety and Quality Through Opioid Stewardship.

Stewardship initiatives are being adopted to address overuse of antibiotics and other persistent safety hazards. This conference will apply the concept to management of opioids, building on guidelines from the National Quality Forum. Participants will learn about efforts to improve opioid stewardship, how to overcome barriers to opioid stewardship, and prescription monitoring tools and metrics to prevent opioid misuse.
