Measure Summaries
Australian Council on Healthcare Standards
- Access block: percentage of patients who were admitted or planned for admission without reaching an inpatient bed, transferred to another hospital for admission, or died in the ED whose total ED time exceeded 8 hours, during the 6 month time period. This updates a previously published measure summary.
- Acute myocardial infarction (AMI): percentage of patients with an AMI requiring thrombolysis who receive thrombolytic therapy within 30 minutes of presentation to the ED, as their primary treatment, during the 6 month time period. This updates a previously published measure summary.
- Waiting time: percentage of patients attending the ED allocated to Australasian Triage Scale (ATS) Category 1 who are attended to immediately, during the 6 month time period. This updates a previously published measure summary.
- Waiting time: percentage of patients attending the ED allocated to Australasian Triage Scale (ATS) Category 2 who are attended to within 10 minutes, during the 6 month time period. This updates a previously published measure summary.
